On the night of this Friday (21st), the Week of Knowledge 2022 ended, which brought around six thousand people to Adamastor for five days to present projects and participate in various activities such as lectures, workshops, discussion groups and others. The ceremony filled the hall of the cultural center with teachers, students, young people and families who were worried and excited about the results of the competitions held during the event.

Organized by the Secretariat for Scientific, Economic, Technological and Innovation Development (SDCETI) of Guarulhos, with the theme “Bicentenary of Independence: 200 years of science, education, technology and innovation in Brazil”, the initiative consisted of four pillars: Feceg – Science and Engineering Fair Guarulhos, where young people between the ages of 15 and 29 present technological and scientific projects; Semcitec – Municipal Week of Science and Technology, which received students who also presented projects from different fields; Expocritividade and exhibition of the creative economy.

“It was a very intense week with more than 200 very enriching projects. Apart from getting good ideas, the best thing this week is to let our young people know that they are part of the solution to the world’s problems and that this is important, this empowerment. There is no growth without the movement of all together,” said Mayor Guti, who participated in the ceremony and award ceremony together with SDECETI’s secretary, Jorge Taiar, who also referred to the participants’ commitment to the event. “It is very nice to witness dedicated children, interested in research and creation. Another thing that caught our attention was that we had a lot of girls who participated heavily, so that was really cool as well,” Taiar said. Along with the representatives of the municipality, Maria Aparecida Barretos, regional director of education – Guarulhos Sul, was also present.

The ceremony counted on the cooperation of young people who participated in the project with cultural presentations, such as that of Grupo Alegoria, students from the Guarulhos Federal Institute campus, who presented a pop dance show to the audience.
