AMD’s processor is another socket AM4 processor, which means that there is a wide variety of motherboards on the market that support it. With 6 cores and 12 threads, the Ryzen 5 5600X, like most Ryzen processors, has an unlocked multiplier, i.e. it enables frequency overclocking. This will make the chip offer more performance, but it needs a more efficient thermal solution and, of course, some knowledge to perform the configuration.

The Ryzen 5 5600X is a very versatile processor, making it a valid choice for anyone looking for advanced productivity and gaming. The chip offers a good number of cores and SMT support, which will allow each thread to deliver more performance in resource-intensive software.
Overclocking support is also a valuable feature, especially for power users, who can squeeze more performance out of the chip. Overall, the lack of an integrated video solution isn’t a problem for the Ryzen 5 5600X’s target audience.
Currently, it is possible to find the Ryzen 5 5600X on offer in online retail for values of R$ 1,331, which, considering the scenario of the hardware market in recent years, is a very interesting price. A motherboard suitable for the model can be found on the market for values close to R$ 700 in a medium solution, which should already be able to take advantage of all the features of the chip.
A competitor with a similar proposal appearing on the market is the Intel Core i5 10400F, which also has six cores and 12 threads, but with frequencies up to 4.3 GHz, which is slightly below the Ryzen 5 5600X.
