Larissa Rosa – The Jetsons

THE ROBOT IS PREPARING YOUR FOOD, OKAY?

If you have ever watched The Jetsons in your life, you must have remembered with nostalgia those robots and everything that was futuristic in the cartoon. If you don’t know the Jetsons, I think you missed the best moment hahaha.

But that’s not all, no, only Chipotle Mexican Grill decided to test “whore”, an independent assistant in the kitchen made by Mouse Robotics. This robotic machine will produce chips from tortillas from the web. And it is not only the company that is innovative in this, the company has already tested robotization in its production line to speed up processes and avoid waste.

Currently, companies like Starbucks are also using robots to make their preparations more efficient, like iced coffee. Other companies are also using this automation not only for meal preparation processes but also for the logistics of delivery and procurement of food to ensure that it is always fresh, as is the case with McDonald’s and Panera Bread.

WEG ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT TO INCREASE PRODUCTION CAPACITIES

WEG has announced that it will invest R$660 million in the next three years to expand the production capacity of industrial and electric traction motors in Brazil. In addition to the expansion of component production and export logistics buildings, a new factory dedicated to industrial engines and mainly engines to serve the electric mobility segment will also be built in Jaraguá do Sul/SC.

This will increase WEG’s current industrial engine production capacity by up to 25%, and the investment plan foresees the completion of a new industrial engine and traction drive in the first quarter of 2024.

Ultimately, the investment plan aims to update and modernize the existing component and logistics factories, with an expansion of approximately 23,000 m² of built-up area, to support the forecasted demand.

And now news from the domestic and world markets:

Summary of news from Brazil and abroad

FCDL-MG

ELECTRONIC COMMERCE IN BRAZIL

I want to say in advance that this news is not about sales sites like Mercado Livre or Magazine Luiza, but about WhatsApp surpassing market of Facebook when the period from 2019 to 2021 was analyzed.

No more, no less than 72% of companies in Brazil have a WhatsApp account, leaving Facebook in second place with 65%. With the pandemic, companies have increased their presence in “digital”, as they say, and companies present in online sales reached 73% last year alone, compared to 59% in 2019.

The main difference between Facebook and WhatsApp for large sites is that small businesses, which use these platforms the most, have payments that are mostly split between credit cards and pix.

Finally, although there has been a slowdown in the growth of e-commerce, companies are looking for a fusion between online shopping and physical trade, strengthening the results achieved in the first half of 2022 with R$ 118.6 billion moved, especially with the possible suspension of the interest rate cycle.

GLOBALIZATION, IS THE GOLDEN AGE PASSED?

There is a great debate about how all the problems we have faced are changing the issue of globalization which until then was in an era of great achievements between countries trade, exports and very promising international agreements.

It turns out that when the belt tightened, we saw that many countries used more protectionism, as well as their companies were affected by political tensions, and thus we see the case of the US and China, for example, where a balanced relationship requires that we evaluate according to the merits of each country.

However, the more mutual negotiations and investments between countries, the more geopolitical rivalries will decrease, and therefore the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore believes that we are entering a new era, as an example of the case of Singapore, which continues to cooperate with the USA and China without taking sides. .

In summary, it observes that companies in the S&P 500 are benefiting from China’s growth in revenue and size, while at the same time China is gaining international capital and financial institutions.

DIGITAL VOYAGER ENDS AUCTION

Do you remember this company? Not? This Digital Voyager filed for bankruptcy when the Terra Blockchain (LUNA) ecosystem collapsed and then crashed with $40 billion wiped out in a matter of days.

The company eventually won approval from a NY bankruptcy court to return $270 million to customers after it froze payments. The credit company defaulted on $673 million from Three Arrows Capital and it ended up getting worse.

The July bankruptcy filing is in the auction stage (as of September 13) with FTX and Binance leading the bids for Voyager’s assets.

That’s how ours ends Morning call. Good investments.
