A Brazilian CEO takes over, for the first time, the general management of ID Logistics in Brazil

The changes at ID Logistics Group also include the departure of Jerome Jacek, the former general manager in Brazil, to take over the Iberia region (comprising the countries of Spain and Portugal, as well as his predecessor Javier Echenique who was assigned to Italy. Operations Director of the Brazilian branch takes over from David Charvier .

In Brazil for twenty years, the logistics multinational ID Logistics, present in 18 countries, chooses the Brazilian executive to manage the subsidiary in the country. The promotion, decided by the French headquarters’ global board, replaces Gilberto Lima, who served as deputy general manager and director of operations. For the first time, a Brazilian was elected – all the others were foreigners. All appointments stem from ID Logistics Group’s internal promotion and underline the company’s commitment to continuous management improvement. They also confirm the multinational’s interest in its development in Europe and Latin America.

The new general manager of the unit in Brazil has a solid career spanning more than 25 years developing within national B2B companies, retailers and international logistics operators. Gilberto joined ID Logistics in 2015 as Director of Operations to lead local operations, recording excellent results with operational improvements and customer satisfaction ratings.

David Charvier, who has been working at ID Logistics Group for four years, has been appointed for operational management. David has 25 years of experience in logistics operations and holds a master’s degree in business management from the University of Versailles with a specialty in logistics engineering.

“Since I joined ID Logistics, I have worked in operations abroad, then I returned to France and now I am coming to Brazil. I am pleased to join the Brazilian team at ID Logistics in managing our current operations and to contribute to the start-ups planned by the end of this year. In Brazil since 2019, Jerome Jacek has more than 25 years of experience in team development and management. In January 2013, he joined the ID Logistics group as General Manager of Russia and moved to the continent to become General Manager of ID Logistics Brazil.

In terms of Italian management, ID Logistics has appointed Javier Echenique as General Manager for Italy. Javier Echenique, former head of ID Logístics in Spain for 8 years, brings his knowledge of retail logistics, FMCG, e-commerce and pharmaceuticals to the growth of the new subsidiary. Javier has more than 10 years of experience in the company.
