5 markets that gained space through technological means

Labor markets would expand. We are living through a historical period that we can call the digital revolution, that is, the technological revolution, as some like to call it. And contrary to what you might think, this revolution started a long time ago when mathematicians and engineers began their studies on incorporating computers to increase productivity and make machines easier to use.

But the biggest revolution came with the advent of the Internet, and with it changes in society. If before the activities were done manually, today we have facilities that have certainly added and qualified our lives. And some markets got a lot of space with it. Here we will list 5 of them:

  1. purchase for delivery

Not so long ago, there were only two ways to eat out: the first was to go to a restaurant, and the second was to order over the phone. It’s amazing how little time has passed and today it’s much easier to order something for delivery.

Do you want to buy a certain product, order a meal, buy food for your pet? Just enter apps like iFood or Rappi and you’ll have a wide selection of supermarkets at your disposal, some of which are open 24 hours a day.

This market is increasing in Brazil and is now one of the most common. iFood, for example, has grown by more than 193% in the last two years, and São Paulo is the place with the highest number of users.

In a survey conducted by the Brazilian Society of Retail and Consumption in 2020, there is information that 61% of people have started to shop more online, and that this trend will continue to grow in the coming years. This is what we see today.

  1. iGaming is gaining ground among online gamers

With the advancement of technology, iGaming has also gained space among online gaming enthusiasts. One of the most popular is poker, a traditional game known all over the world.

Platforms dedicated to the sport of the mind provide step-by-step instructions for learning poker and online tournaments that can be played by both amateurs and professionals.

The ease of finding these platforms has also helped the lives of those who, for example, would not be able to travel to a championship, can now do so in the comfort of their own home. Today it is possible to simulate games with graphics that improve every year.

And this brings us to a new market that has also opened up:

  1. Sale of products intended for players

Here is another reality. With the increase in the number of players and championships, physical needs appeared that opened up another market: the sale of products aimed at players (professional or not) of online games.

This store includes: specific chairs (which are customized so that the gamer is comfortable while gaming for dedicated hours), high precision mice (which makes an incredible difference when you are in an action game), exceptional monitors (which increase the amount of colors and effects) and others modern and important peripherals for gamers as a whole.

  1. smart watches

A while ago, who could have imagined that, in addition to watching the time, we can use the watch to talk to other people, monitor the running time, control the heart rate, display the amount of calories burned? This was only possible with the development of smart watches, smart watches that can be found both in physical stores and in online stores.

In some cases, they can even save lives. An interesting case happened when the Apple Watch called an emergency and managed to save a man.

Realizing that he had gone off course, the watch alerted 911 and the man was rescued. In addition to calling 911, the watch also alerted his family.

And if before these watches were limited, today they are already available in various models, brands and for different audiences. And the trend is that the watch market is growing with new technologies.

Of course, we could not forget the increasingly growing market,

mainly among the youngest, but it also creates places for the elderly: online work, also known as home office.

This was only possible with the development of the Internet, computers and peripherals that contribute to work being done anywhere in your home.

Applications such as Zoom, Google Meet eventually contributed to online meetings, leaving aside the need for meetings to resolve outstanding issues and enable faster resolution of issues. Several companies have seen revenue increase while the quality of life for their employees (who don’t have to travel and work long hours) has improved.

The success was such that this variety remained in many companies, opening vacancies for jobs that use computers such as: programmers (from games to digital banks), marketing and advertising specialists.

In other words, a lot of good things have arrived and are yet to come. It’s just a matter of time!
