The HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2774 comes with dimensions of 42.5 x 30.4 x 15.4 cm when closed and 42.5 x 54.6 x 25 cm with the sliding cover open, placed on top of the equipment. In this way, the size is very compact, even more so for an all-in-one, which helps to place the printer in any corner of the house or office.

The design is clean and available in black. Its design has a narrower base, giving the impression that the equipment takes up even less space. The weight of 3.42 kg is light compared to more robust multifunction devices, which makes it easy to transport.

Functions and connectivity

The multifunction device can copy, print and scan documents and photos. Bluetooth connectivity is available to pair with mobile phones, tablets and computers, without the need for cables. Dual-band Wi-Fi with auto-reset promises faster connections. In addition, the user can still connect via the USB port for direct connection to the machines.

The manufacturer promises easy use through the HP Smart application. With it, it is possible to wirelessly configure the equipment and use all its main functions. That is, the user can print a file saved on a smartphone without having to send it to e-mail, for example. It is even possible to transform a physical photo into a digital one with quick commands on the mobile screen.

Print quality and speed

Print and scan quality is simpler — up to 1200 x 1200 DPI (dots per inch). It’s an all-in-one suitable for a more basic profile, for people who don’t need such high performance on a daily basis.

The same applies to print speed. It works up to 20 pages per minute (ppm) in the most basic black-and-white type and 16 pages per minute in color. To give you an idea, slightly more advanced printers — and at a higher price — can print between 33 and 35 pages at a time.

For higher resolution prints, in A4 or Letter format, the speed drops significantly on HP equipment, remaining at 7.5 pages per minute (black) and 5.5 pages per minute (color). However, this should not be a problem for users who need to print smaller quantities.

The HP 2774 offers a traditional ink system that uses black and tri-color cartridges in the HP 667 model. Printing on plain (A4), photo paper and brochure paper is supported. However, the cartridge system makes refilling a bit more expensive than the inkjet models – which have cartridges full of bottles – mainly because the former drains faster.

The most basic HP 667 cartridge starts at R$54.90 (black) and R$59.90 (color), prints approximately 100 pages in color and 120 in black and white. The model works only with cartridges that have new or reused HP electronics—that is, genuine products—and uses security measures to block cartridges that use modified or non-HP circuitry.
