The event was broadcast live across Brazil from the UDC University Center in Foz do Iguaçu.
In his speech, ABNT president Dr. Mário Willian Esper presented data on the challenges Brazil is facing in the field of education, citing as an example school dropouts due to the pandemic. According to him, with the rules, Brazil has instruments to improve the index in school education. “An event that represents a lot, especially in a country like ours, which is so deficient in the field of education. It was a year and a half of work, under the very expert coordination of prof. Fábio Prado, many meetings and technical hours of work, experts in education, to present to Brazil and the world these 3 international standards related to learning”.
Dean of the UDC University Center Professor Rosicler Hauagge do Prado pointed out: “We always strive for excellence in education. This is a very important job for the state. It is an honor for UDC to be a part of it through our vice-rector”.
The ABNT ISO standard is applied in more than 180 countries to ensure quality and standardization. Therefore, the standards published by ABNT/CCE -250 are applied internationally, as explained by ABNT’s Director of Standardization Mr. Nelson Al Assal Filho: “Education is the bridge to the future. UDK, let’s say, is one of the elements of this great country that is building this bridge. But this bridge needs quality parameters, and the Technical Standards of Education are international standards, which we bring to Brazil, we took over from ISO, and they have quality criteria that are applied in the education sector, to manage the quality of education, they do not deal with the content, but also deal with the way of management. How can we have a better quality service, make this bridge stronger, so that as many people as possible can cross this bridge faster for the future”.
Coordinator ABNT/CEE-250 Vice-Rector UDK prof. dr. Fábio Prado spoke about the different perspectives of the Commission, continuity and satisfaction in work: “Complex, education is spectacular. We have many variables. CEE-250 has a vision of Brazil as a whole, public and private education, early childhood, primary, secondary and higher education, so there are several planets as I said. We try to bring all these different perceptions together. Bearing in mind that these norms are not fixed, they will develop, continue, grow. These are dynamic norms. We will always update ourselves, it is a continuous process of modernization, as the world demands. We were very happy for the opportunity and the trust that Dr. Mario Willian showed us to participate in this process, as a volunteer. All teaching and all learning”.
During the ceremony, guests and participants of CEE-250 gave their presentations and evaluated the main points of the standard.
Among them, the Secretary for Vocational and Technological Education of the Ministry of Education, Tomás Dias Sant’Ana, who spoke about the Secretariat’s articulation with the standardization process.

According to her, the idea is to emphasize the variety of strategies to facilitate the acquisition of educational skills in language teaching.
The rapporteur of the ISO 29992 working group, Mr. Renato Lee, said that the standard refers to the evaluation of the results of a learning service. It is intended for organizations that provide educational services. The purpose is to improve learning assessment mechanisms.
And at the end of the working group rapporteur for ISO 29993, Professor Deise Cristina presented a standard that deals with learning services outside of formal education and its requirements.
